My preference is for Pathfinder, but I've played over a dozen different systems. I started with D&D, and I'm looking forward to Starfinder this fall. Probably the most amusing system I've played in and ran is Dungeons the Dragoning 40k 7th Ed., because it's a hodgepodge of tons of systems designed to just play ridiculous over the top characters like Werewolf Cyborg Assassins.

Ahh, Dungeons the Dragoning! I played that once. I was a black spiral dancer Dragonborn were-raptor.

It's the type of game where I love running one-shots or random episodic games with people, because it's so ridiculous that everyone always has a good time.

My favorite ridiculous game is Paranoia. We run it with extra cheese.

Paranoia is also great! I've never gotten to run it myself, but I've had a few DMs that I mentored that ran it with great success. I've always wanted to run a Shadowrun game as well, but I just never get around to reading the rulebook entirely.

Paranoia is also great! I've never gotten to run it myself, but I've had a few DMs that I mentored that ran it with great success. I've always wanted to run a Shadowrun game as well, but I just never get around to reading the rulebook entirely.

Shadowrun is probably my favorite system. I'm actually trying to run a game of it (my first time as gm) if I can get my players all available at the same time, that is, hehe.
The core book is intimidating, but a lot of it is story flavor.

We tend to run pretty loose games (we = Mr. Sothron and I) so we don't get too bogged down in the innumerable rules it sometimes has, but we have loads of fun. Lately, we've been doing a couple of their adventure paths - Rise of the Runelords (on semi-perm hiatus as I just couldn't GM while I'm trying to write a book), Mummy's Mask and Hell's Vengeance. Man, that last one will really let you know which if your friends you do not want to go dark side!

I actually really want to be a designer for them, but I'm using my experience as a tester to get hired at a company I'd love to work for. Hopefully, anyway!

I've run Kingmaker and part of RotRL. I've also run the entirety of the Emerald Spire! Now that was quite an adventure.

Um I have never heard of this and now I want nothing more in my life than to play it.

Maybe at some point I'll run a one-shot of it!
