I MEAN WTF!?!! Is BS trying to give most of the characters a happily ever after kinda love relationship?? I mean some were given from the beginning.. But Thom and Moiraine?? I was so rather thinking it might be that he was somehow related to her or something.. but not that he loved her!!!

I am scarred...

"My dearest Thom" should have been your first clue...and the whole "words from my heart" thing. Both phrases, especially the second, hearken to more than just blood relations.

Its a very old worldy way of speaking aswell. I didn't like the Thom/Moiraine thing, seemed a bit forced.

That's funny Leo. I'm likely in the minority but I always thought Thom/Moiraine is one of the more natural relationships in the series. I think I kinda rank it Thom/Moiraine, Perrin/Faile, Min/Rand.

I like it. It's been a while, but actually, I think I may have thought of that relationship in EoTW. I mean, even then, the Gleeman was growing on her I think. It helped that he was the only man around other than Lan.

I admit that when I first read it I was like "Wait... what?" Read it again and went, "Huh... okay." After reading, I thought about it, and figured it made sense, though I'll need to read the books again and see just how obvious it was. The scene itself seemed... forced or quick to me. Something was off about it compared to the rest of his couple scenes.

Bryce, considering how couples broke up and reformed during the books (Prime example Egwene/ Rand going to Egwene/ Gawyn and Rand/Min/Avi/Elayne) would have made that sooo unlikely :P

I saw this coming for a long while. Probably in The Dragon Reborn, actually. I think it's a great fit. The scene kind of bothered me; something seemed a little rushed/off. But there have been quite a few scenes like that, and I just chock it up to a new "director."

agreed, u could see it coming if u knew what to look for, thom's such a 'lady's man' that u knew he wouldn't stay single. just think of how he treated the girl apprentice back in cairhien. also, it really did just seem rushed, kinda of it he was like, "oh yah, got to make sure they end up together at the end..."

I agree that it felt rushed. But then again, if everything would happen at standard Jordan pace, we'd still be stuck at the beginning of The Gathering Storm, unfortunately ...
