Has anyone read the Aeronauts Windlass? I'm listening to the Audiobook right now and it's fascinating if a little bit confusing. I'm hoping the world building is explained a little more, but other than that it's really good. I love the humor in Jim Butcher's books.

I have it but waiting for more books before I start it. I love Dresden and Codex Alera so hoping this'll be as good if not better.

I've read Dresden but not Alera, but I did really enjoy this book. Especially the cats. :giggle

When I got really into it, I'd forget that it wasn't a Sanderson book. I guess that's a pretty high compliment, considering I've read/own/re-read most of Sanderson's books.

    Agreed. Highly recommend Codex Alera.

I have it all, just need to get around to reading it. :p Cinder Spires is certainly encouraging me to quit stalling, now that I've read some of Butcher's alternate style.

I just picked up the audiobook today in anticipation of a long road trip this weekend. We'll see whether The Husband is amenable to listening, though. He waffles on audiobooks.

I just started The Aeronaut's Windlass. I am not familiar with boat/ship terms at all. So I'm a little lost trying to figure out the very beginning action.
But all the reviews are good, so I am going to power through.

Thanks! I'm up to page 60 and I'm already back on board, big time.
