Chat from the button

So I have tried repeatedly to log into chat from going into the way it is supposed to on the site and it refuses to link up. If I post a nick...not accepted and just tries to link. Let it pick a nick and still...no link up to chat. We have Charter and wireless...what the hell am I doing wrong?

Miridy, does it give you error/log messages?

Can you try another irc client? What about going to mibbit.com and logging in from there?

I just want it to work from the channel that is given by the button on the site....we used to be able to do that. This is silly.

IRC is a lot more complicated than it looks on the surface! Azi's trying to pinpoint the issue so he can help you. Knowing the specific error message and whether you can connect using a different client would be very, very helpful. Since other people have no issue using the site-hosted client, the issue appears to be specifically for your connection, and that's why he needs to know those things.

Actually, I don't think so. The "Forums" tab's submenu is tied specifically the the forum software and I'm not sure there's any options to add links to it.

I mean even putting a 5th button in the gray bar right under the graphic. I know that one's been done before...
