First, because I listen, my spellings will likely be wrong! Gavin/Dazin and, of course, our oh-so-beloved Kip. And, to Aloren Sedai, maybe the regular audio versions would do as a compromise. Simon Vance is great; I love his voice. The first book was originally narrated by someone else, but they went back and redid it.

And, now that I think of it, Good Ole Daddy/Granddaddy Guile--so many enigmatic things with him--so many mysteries!
And, and, I just noticed my "old" friend Enelya--and I have to Sedai you now!!!!!!!

I started reading Book 1 again to work my way through everything rather than just re-reading the last one.

Monari! Yay :D I'm happy to see you back, or still around, or something :hug

I've listened to all four audiobooks now and love love love them. Simon Vance is fantastic. I still really like Teia, and another fave is Cruxer. I feel like the last book is going to be distressing :p

Yes, thank you. probably both-- a combo of still around and back. I believe I saw pics of you in Brit--Across the Pond-- at an Anni-Ball Event. We've done an Anni and a Ball here -- maybe we'll get to do more and some Across 'Whatever' Another-Fantasy Dimension.....' someday. Thank you so much for responding. For all, if I'm on even once in a month (for now) is good. Distress and Culmination--which will we feel more???/!!! :)

So so so very excited. Book 5 looks like an absolute monster! :joy The newsletter he just sent out had the first two chapters in it - I haven't read them yet but doubt I'll be able to hold out until October.

Yes Thad, you've got much good stuff to come. Some great characters yet to be introduced, and some crazy plotting. Brent Weeks is the king of the twists.

Yes..yes he is. Especially at the end of book one when
He gets stabbed by that knife and I can only surmise that he loses his abilities

Never heard of this, my thesis will be finished within 30 hours of this posting, after that I am free 24/7 for a few months, just going to read and be a lazy bum. Going to give this series a shot and catch up on Brandon Sanderson as well.

The Licanius Trilogy is another one on back burner, that is about all I have though, might be able to do all of it by end of year as I have nothing to do anymore.

You should definently give Lightbringer a go Ephrem.

Easily in my top five fantasy series.

I just ordered the first 3 books, they were on sale brand new for $6 each free ship. I will wait and see how I like those before I get the 4th and 5th, or I might just go to library for those. ^^ The price was so good though, so I went for it. :)

The first three books arrived in the mail today. :) So happy I got a good price on them. The font / type of paper used is also quite nice on the eyes, for some reason that really makes a difference for my reading speed. I know it sounds weird. o_O

Going to start them tomorrow. Today was laundry/cleaning day. ^^

Looking forward to hearing how you find them Ephrem! :D I'm just coming to the end of my Broken Eye relisten <3 I heard on a Q&A recently that the audiobook for 5 is ready to be released on the same day as the book, so I'll go for that. Dars lives in Portland and hopefully will be able to get me a signed copy of the actual book when Brent Weeks does his launch tour!

I went on two binge reading sessions last couple of nights. I love reading at night, for some reason I just feel really calm and in my own world. Especially in the Fall time where I can open a window and feel a light breeze.

I am past chapter 30 now. Honestly was not expecting this to flow so well. Some books are hard to get past the character development early on. This one just reads so easy without being overly complicated, I instantly liked it. It has been many years since I read a book for 3 hours straight and didn't realize how much time had gone by, so yeah I am enjoying it. :rofl Even by Chapter 14 I already had some emotions develop for some of the characters...

So happy I gave this series a try! I will report back after I finish book 1, thanks everyone!

    Wohoo, go Ephrem

And I agree, one of the best things about Lightbringer is how easily it reads. Great plot, great characters, interesting ideas, great action etc all included too, but it just reads so easily and never feels like a struggle.

You'll find the whole series just going by in a flash.
