About Edeyn deMonti

First attempt, but the one I had before the timer ran out was better. What do you think?

My character comes from Tanchico, from the Panarch's Palace. Her mother is a servant in the kitchen and Edeyn carefully dusts items and lighting sconces when it gets dark within the castle. She starts her day helping her mother make the gruel for the breakfast of the servants within the castle. If she has any time left, she get into the cauldrons and scrubs them out; she has little time for playing and her mother doesn't have time for her.

One time, there was a lady in the castle who observed her making a small flame with her hands and using it to light the candles: she addresses the child.

The Lady gestures to the child to approach her and inquires: "What is your name child?".

The child eyes the fine Lady and makes a curtsy, as fine as if she were wearing silks instead of rags. "My name is Edeyn, M'Lady".

The Lady smiles and reaches into her purse and takes out a silver penny, pressing it into Edeyn's hand. "Here, this is for you. Would you take me to your mother then?"

Edeyn races into the kitchen, blurting out: "Momma, look wha..."

She see's her mother coming at her with a huge wooden spoon in her hand, her face reddened. "Now come here to me, you wench!"

Edeyn scurries underneigh the huge kitchen table, out of the reach of that spoon and her mother's temper.

The lady approached her mother about her child: "Wasshe done now?" Edeyn inquires of the lady, giving an evil eye towards Edeyn.

The Lady denies any wrong doing, but states: "I was looking for a girl to work for me at my estate, and I think this child would work out nicely".

The mother can smell money on this lady "Well, I just don't know now what I could do without her, as she brings in some money to me house AND, she is such a dear child!" she reaches out to pat Edeyn on the head. Edeyn ducks further away into the tables depths, fearing the hand that has given her hurt before, out of her mother's reach.

The lady quirks an eyebrow and looks hard at the mother, weighing her price and takes out her purse, balancing the weight on her hand. "Well, I see how it is. Maybe I'll look for another girl to offer the work to."

The mother attempts to reach under the table for Edeyn who moves further away from her hand. "Oh M'Lady, I am sure that if I could just get some help with our expenses. She's a hard worker, she is" gesturing under the table, her face a mixture of pleading and anger.

The lady takes out two gold pieces and quickly pulls the strings on her purse shut. "I have these two coins for her price."

The Edeyn's mothers face gapes at the gold pieces and clears her throat: "Well, you see M'Lady, she is so dear to us, you see".

The mysterious lady quirks her eyebrow again and sighs, closing her hand upon the gold pieces. "Well, I can see that she is very loved by you and your price must be beyond jewels for her", she turns away placing the gold pieces back into her purse and appears to be leaving the kitchen.

Edeyn's mother frantically reaches under the table and takes hold of the child and drags her out, placing her in front of her, scrubbing at her dirty cheek with her apron. "M'Lady, just a minute now. Here she is as shinny as a penny. She would work hard for you, she will".

The Cook gives the child a large pinch on her bottom, as she beams at the Lady.

The Lady turns around and looks at the careworn woman and her distress. "Yes, I can see how well she is cared for", she says with a smirk. "Yes, she could work out - but I digress", she reaches out for Edeyn as the cook pushes her out towards the fine Lady.

The Lady looks the girl over and says "Yes, I believe she may work out just fine". How much was she then"

The cook can't keep her eyes off of the Lady's purse and licks her lips. "I do believe you said two gold pieces then?"

The Lady pulls out her purse and takes out two gold Tar Valon marks. "Here is the gold price for the child. We have made a bargain".

The cook takes the gold pieces from the Lady and notices that they are TAR VALON gold pieces. "Wait, I'm not sure what to do with this kind of gold" she says, looking at the lady.

The Lady says: "THAT is your problem" and taking the child by the hand, leaves the kitchen.

Well, there's certainly nothing wrong with looking like an Aiel. :giggle

Welcome to Tar Valon.net, Edeyn! I really like your character, but we're unfortunately not a roleplaying site. We're a community forum that's based on the Wheel of Time. :pleased-1: You can chat and make new friends here, if you'd like.

Some of us are roleplayers, though, and we'd be happy to write with you privately, or point out other roleplay groups that we know of. :)

Thank you for your welcome. I fixed my character to look like what she is suppose to look like. I LIVE in Elder Scrolls OnLine and both pictures are of two of my characters in there. Very realistic isn't it?
