Welcome! I am pretty new here also. I'm currently re reading the series, but I know how it feels to get hooked on them(it's happening to me all over). I started them about a month ago and have barely been able to put my nook down since then. I bought the complete 1-14(with New Spring) so I've...
Hey all! I just finished up book two, and am about two chapters into The Dragon Reborn. I've had my nose buried in my nook, and haven't gotten around to posting much the past few days unfortunately. I feel like events in the books build as each book goes, and I can't manage to stop reading. I...
I would honestly still have to say she manipulates them. While she's not evil in any sense, she sees Rand, Mat, and Perrin as a necessity to fight the Dark One at the last battle. And because of that she needs to guide them. I believe that to her any means justified the end, and because of that...
Some of my thoughts.
Early book 2 quote spolier >>
My opinion of Winternight
They knew that one of these three were the Dragon Reborn, and the desperately needed to capture or kill him. They also showed the ability to move a large amount of Trollocs/Fades/Draghkar wherever they needed to...
I agree with that. I thought the first time I read it how strange it was that they would be bragging about going to the next town over. I'm sure Tam at the time, and any other adults who had traveled outside of the Two Rivers, would have been silently laughing at them. :lol I enjoyed seeing how...
Well, I don't have access to any of the threads either, so I figured posting here would be better than nothing to make sure my account doesn't get deleted right after joining. :|
Thank you! Oh, it's not too exciting. :p I spent a long time searching for something I liked and making sure it hadn't been taken yet.
Link didn't want to cooperate and show my picture. :look
Oh, thank you! I spent quite a while trying to find an avatar I actually like that wasn't taken.
How is your re-read going? Anything you've noticed that you didn't before? I enjoyed seeing how Min interacted with Rand in Baerlon. Obviously at the time of my first reading I had no idea what...
I actually just passed where Rand and Mat get separated from Thom at Whitebridge. It is interesting actually seeing him doing it and to know what is going on, rather than just thinking something is strange without knowing what happened.
Ah, ok! I'm going to be buying a house in Waldorf. Had to pick somewhere that was far enough outside of the city, but still not too far for a daily commute to the Air Force Bases.
It's refreshing being able to read something again, and to find new stuff while doing it. Makes it feel worthwhile to re read! If I happen to catch up before you all finish the series, I would love to be able to discuss! :)
Oh, so not too far behind! :) I only get a few hours a night to read...
Yeah, honestly I was just thinking more about being space conscious. I felt that replying to multiple people plus what they said would make an even larger text wall. But I'm sure it probably would've been easier to follow.
