I am going to say I am going. But I will need a UK'er to pick me up in London (probably several days ahead of time) and maybe let me stay several days after. This is the opposite direction of my grandparents home and I don't drive on the opposite side of the road; this would not be in their direction to have me visit.

Any Uk'er up to help an American out with a place to stay before and after the weekend, and have a bit of fun showing off London (again as I"ll be an adult this time :P) give me a pm so we can make arrangements. TY!

:joy

Admittedly, my husband is probably still going to Dragon*Con. :P

I am very much looking forward to this. I've wanted to attend a party over the pond since we were a wee bitty site. :) I've been planning on going to this one for about 3 years now, so it is exciting to know where we'll be!

On a side (and personal) note...
It is crazy for me to realize it has been over a decade since I was in the UK (or anywhere out of my hemisphere for that matter). I don't feel old enough for it to have been that long. :P I miss it a great deal.
I am looking to extend my trip to approximately 1 week. I have a college buddy who might be willing to put me up for a day or so. :) If Tower folk will have me, though, I'd be grateful for a place on your couch. It goes without saying, if you come to my neck of the woods, I am very happy to return the favor.
Also, I am a pretty decent cook (and I learned with british ovens, so I totally get the gas marks :look:).

I am so excited! :joy

Yay, it's good to have a date even though it clashes with my wedding anniversary. :p Are there hotels or B&Bs in the vicinity from the event place? If I am to come, I have to take along the kids and their daddy, and it might be easier for them to stay elsewhere than at the party site, but within a reasonable distance for me to go in and nurse and spend time with them between the activities.

... but my daughter DID just ask me when we are going to England, it'd be fun to tell her we are going. :D

Because 2012 will be a very crowded and expensive time in the British Isles due to the Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee
Pfft, who cares about that nonsense? The Olympics I sort of get, but the Queen's blah-de-blah? C'mon :p

But seriously, I just want to say that Sonea, myself and Jayson will be putting in 110% to make this one of the best Euro parties ever!!

wonders if that will be seen as an Aes Sedai oath or something

AND I get to spend time with Mother twice in the same year....you poor, poor lady....

Nat....ummmm KIDS?? There is Maria +1 now? See where hiding gets me *sniff* I know nothing.

Yes I have already had epic pm's from Jayson with ideas so planning is afoot!(NB not plotting, planning)

As for the costs, the venue price is slightly higher than last year and we will be looking to do a few more bits, so there is likely to be some increase but hopefully nothing huge.

All will be confirmed asap...BUT please be aware I am taking two weeks out and making a holiday out of Anni...though Seri has planned in team meetings and stuff :grumble

All I know is that, when we left, there were some trees still unburnt in that wood. THIS MUST BE RESOLVED.

I quite agree...I want to see more manly foraging for wood!!

There will be no felled unburnt wood this year...winter will have nothing to attack once we're done!
