Knife of Dreams- Arguably the MOST epic book!

I am currently on my first re-read of the series and just finished KoD (in one week) and... it might be my absolute favorite book in the series. So many epic moments and plot ties! SPOILERS ahead!!!

Galad vs Valda: What a way to start the books! All the rage I felt at what happened to Morgase was depicted with Galad's challenge and defeat of Valda. Very gratifying.

The Golden Crane: Already a top moment in the series. I could read it again and again.

Tuon/Mat courting: I know RJ has gotten grief about his portrayal of romance/courting(or lack thereof) in the books. Mat and Tuon are a huge exception in my opinion. You can really see the budding and development of their relationship.

Rand losing his hand: Ahhh! He's so cold! Like stone... steel.

Egwene begins to infiltrate the Tower: My favorite arc and story in the books. This begins it all!

Tam returns!: Yay!

Faile and Perrin reunite: FINALLY!

Galina is broken: Justice

Elayne gets the throne & captures the Black Ajah: Damn!

Tuon marries Mat, Mat is Prince of the Ravens: Bloody Matrim Cauthon is my Husband

One epic thing after another.

My favorite book is the Gathering Storm for personal reasons, but you're right! KoD was so epic!!

Knife of Dreams is one of my favourites for all of the reasons you listed. "My husband rides from World's End toward Tarwin's Gap, toward Tarmon Gai'don. Will he ride alone?" Absolute chills.

Yep, my favourite quote, maybe only equaled by a few in Memory of Light And it was also for a long time the last book in the series, which also made it good. And it comes after the three worst books in the series, which makes it even better
