It's a 12 hour drive for me from NJ I still consider that driving distance.

yeah it was really weird living in Ireland, where you can take a bus anywhere in the country in under 3 hours, and people considered it like once a year vacation thing cause it was just too much lol

I used to drive 50 mins each way for work to Indy... worst year of my life, won't ever do it again, but yeah you get used to it.

I live 15 minutes from work now, but I grew up about an hour from any large towns. You absolutely get used to it! Actually, some days my commute is longer than that because I have to leave from my work, drive past my house to my mom's to pick up my minion, then drive back to my house... yeah those are late nights. You do what you gotta do.

I'll throw down with you in the three hours it takes to go through traffic in NJ to go down to the shore in that same amount of time I can get half way through PA, or all the way to Rhode Island, or to up state New York. Oh the Northeast coast roads are a mess .:drunk

It always took us 3 hours to get to the shore from eastern PA.

They do list additional charge for double occupancy, but we are definitely in a campground.

This is a camp - so no, no double beds. Yes, you will have to bring your own linens/pillows/sleeping bags.

Do they allow tent camping?

Great question, this is what I would prefer too with a sleeping bag! So fun! We should keep all WoT tents close together though, just for protection, I am scared of Myrdraal attacking us in the night! :grouphug

I also will bring my Paperwhite so I can read a bit before bed time! Seems appropriate for a bunch of bookish friends gathering in nature... :p

There is plenty of green space around the camp itself; if you wanted to chill out in a tent, I don't think it would be a problem. But there might be a "no camping" at the Group Cabins rule -- I don't want to mislead you.

What about those of us flying in. Will there be an option to pay more to have linens provided. Such as at Washington Anni?

I might be able to bring one or two extra sets if it's not an option, I'd have to see what I have on hand.

My family is traveling to my hometown (just north of Chattanooga) for Thanksgiving at the end of this month. If necessary, I can pack any extras we have, and take them down to my family. Then, I can pick them up in March when I visit my family again before Anni and transport them to Anni. I'll most likely be traveling back to KC with @Elania so the extras can make it back.

Would this be doable since it's your vehicle, Elania?

I would also be very grateful if I did not have to bring my own sleeping bag :look:

@Melisande Arneil I think they mean an option to pay extra money and have the sheets purchased by us. I believe at the Washington Anni Brandon refers to, attendees could keep the sheets or donate them at the end of the weekend.
