Hopefully, this will be in late September or later. I cannot get away from my job in early/mid September.
Then there’s always early retirement!

I'm up for the UK plan too. It would make it more accessible for me to get to! But I am prepared to consider travelling state side or other :D

I'd love for it to be in Canada but I know that makes it logistically harder for lots of folks to attend because of passports.

Michigan or New York State would be cool, I can drive to those with ease.

Things are changing with air travel in this country in 2020. Under The Real ID Act (I fought this legislation for 5 years while in Washington DC) Domestic and International air travelers in the USA must comply with The Real ID or their renewed license will depict NonCompliant Status. TSA will not allow NonCompliant travelers beyond the first security check point. NonCompliant citizens will need to meet other controls to enter federal buildings, open Post Office Boxes or renter the country after travel across borders. For most US citizens, compliance is easy and not a concern. For some of us, it’s another story.

Regardless of where we meet, anyone choosing air travel should endeavor to comply. I had thought to be NonCompliant as an act of civil disobedience and protest. I have had reason to reconsider.

Pay attention to the loose leaf addition in your DL Notice. Make your own choice about compliance, but be prepared to secure alternative means of travel if you choose NonCompliance.

Could make it Down Under in the Land of Madmen. Don't even have to worry about visa's for you yanks thanks to some Aus-US relations thing.

They may have changed.

You must have a valid U.S. passportand a visa to enter Australia. Most U.S. passport holders traveling to Australiafor tourism or business purposes for less than 90 days can obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA).Dec 6, 2018

I had to do that back in 2010 but fortunately the ETA was only about 20 dollars and I could get it online

Should we consider a location in the UK for 20th Anni. We haven’t held this type of event off US soil. Our out of country members make great efforts to attend stateside. Perhaps it’s time we turn the tables?

Except that most Europeans get at least four weeks of paid vacation time and affordable passports, while that's a lot harder to obtain for many Americans. It makes way more sense for us to travel to The US than vice versa.

UK would be awesome so I can catch up with my uni mates on the same trip, but everything is long haul for me so it doesn't really matter if it's Europe or US. I plan to be there regardless. :)

I really like the UK idea.

My 2 cents- it doesn't matter what year, anni is a celebration of the community as a whole. That includes all of our members and 20 years seems well past time to take the party international.
