An Announcement Regarding Events Timeline

Good day, Tar Valon!

I'm Melisande, your Director of Events and Conferences.

I wanted to update the community regarding the timeline for the next couple of years, in regards to events. We are so looking forward to 20th Anni, in 2021! We want this event to be our best yet, but in order to do this, we've decided to make some timeline changes, and we wanted to let you know so that you can plan accordingly.

In 2020, all events will run at their usual times. 19th Anni will be very special, as it will be the event where we will have the investiture of the new Amyrlin, so keep an eye out for that announcement!

In 2021, we will be having only 1 event on the North American side, 20th Anniversary Party, and it will be held in the fall. This is so we are not running into JordanCon festivities, plus it gives our members the (hopeful) ability to be able to attend both events. We do not have any more information regarding 20th Anni, as it is still in the early stages of planning, but our MoR North America, @Vivianna L'antreau , will be handling those announcements.

In 2022, we will be flipping our events around. Anni will be celebrated in the fall, and Fall Ball will become Spring Fling. We wish to try this out and see what our numbers are like, in terms of attendance. The Events department loves putting on a party, and we hope that we will see a surge in numbers at our events, especially with the TV show coming to fruition.

I like the sound of this. I've always wanted to attend Anni but the spring was just impossible. Hopefully I can get to one in the future now.

I like this a great deal! It's so much eaiser for me to get time off work in the fall. Here's to more events!:beer

Fall can go one of two ways, depending what time of fall they are thinking of... with the beginning of school and such for the kiddo. March was always kind of tied into spring break do childcare was easier.. fall will be a bit more of a challenge. On the other hand, my parents will be in town to help hubby out - where they never are in March.

I'm all for trying new things. My only request is that the fall event (for 2022) is careful to avoid the start of school but also early enough to not disrupt time off for Thanksgiving. And I'm SUPER hopeful that @Vendri al'Varrak and I will be able to attend 20th Anni!

I like this idea. Anni has always been my birthday weekend, so maybe I can be at both instead of having to miss Anni!
