The Around-the-World ClassThe class has had many interesting posts since the class first started. I've posted a few times myself and enjoyed it, so I decided to ask Aryela Sedai why she wanted to start a class that would give others the opportunity for everyone to teach. "I like getting to know about different cultures. Since this is an international community, I figured it would be a nice way to get people to talk about where they're from, or where they've lived."
And since the class have been active since September, with a few breaks in between, I wondered if the class is open for new participants. “Yes, always. This goes for any class, actually. I encourage participation at each stage.” There have been participants from all around the world, including Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Americas, so it has been fun to read how people dress in their country (ancient dress as well as modern), traditional/famous dishes, music and holidays/festivals/rituals. I asked Aryela Sedai how long she intended for the class to run. “I'm not sure. My original target was a couple of weeks, but then I decided to stretch it out a couple of months to see if more people would participate.”
So please, join the class and post if you feel it's missing something that you want to share about your own culture!
